Accurate except that the students are never that polite.


  1. I remember expressing similar sentiments after what I thought was a rough final exam. I'd tell the prof that I liked the course so much that I would probably take it again. That never happened.

    Later, though, when I was teaching, I would sometimes tell certain students (tongue firmly in cheek, of course) that I knew that they wanted to fail the exam but I had to disappoint them--they passed, often with good results. For some reason, they didn't see the humour in that.....

  2. I've had a repeating student flunk the same test twice... I even purposely used the same test just to see if he WOULD flunk it twice. And sure enough...
